To assist in maintaining the project schedule and momentum on the job, Gay Construction Company believes that the General Contractor should be capable of self-performing a portion of the work during each phase of the project. For this reason, we maintain a field work force capable of performing numerous categories of work.

Layout and field engineering
General site labor
Earthwork, including excavation, backfill, compaction and fine grading
Underground utilities
Trucking
Concrete work, including forming, placing and finishing
Miscellaneous metals work
All rough and finish carpentry work
Doors, frames and hardware installation
Drywall and acoustical work
Cabinets and millwork from our own in-house cabinet shop

All of these work categories would not normally be self-performed on a project, but we look at the requirements of the job with the Project Team and choose the categories that best serve the project.
