It is the policy of Gay Construction Company to provide a work environment that is free of hazards that may affect the safety and health of our employees and others on our job sites. Each member of management at Gay Construction Company joins in the commitment to ensure that safe conditions will be created and maintained throughout the company.
It is the responsibility of all employees of our company to recognize unsafe conditions and take steps to correct deficiencies immediately. We are all responsible for our own safety and health, and should never risk personal injury or loss of life in order to perform any task.
We shall endeavor to provide proper and safe equipment, required training, safe work practices and procedures, proper construction methods, and the enforcement of our standards. Any safety equipment that becomes damaged shall be removed from service. Our safety procedures and operations will always be conducted in compliance with all applicable OSHA Standards and Regulations, OSHA 29 CFR 1910 [General Industry] and OSHA 29 CFR 1926 [Construction Industry]. All employees are required to obey all safety rules and procedures.
Weekly scheduled safety meetings will be held and attendance will be mandatory by all affected employees. Safety is our #1 priority. Your full cooperation is required and expected in order to help us realize our goal of no accidents, no injuries, and no illnesses. Failure by any employee to assist in providing a safe and healthful work site can result in disciplinary action including possible termination of employment. We look forward to your assistance and support in having a successful safety program.
